Insurance and Billing

Whenever possible, I bill insurance directly or see clients through the Headway platform in order to minimize costs and ensure that ongoing therapy is a feasible and affordable option. Many clinicians claim that reliance on a third-party payor is somehow a hindrance to the treatment relationship then ask clients to submit their own claims for out-of-network coverage. Whether or not this claim is not an honest reflection of an authentic or inherited paradigm, this common practice places an expensive burden upon clients and often prevents or complicates the establishment of a longer-term therapeutic relationship when deeper dimensions of the presenting issues emerge.
